The Go to China trips are organized by Michael Yao and Carl Johan Ragnarsson. In addition, we will work together with go teachers and people who help with everyday arrangements. Although we try to work with long term cooperation whenever possible, the teachers may vary from year to year. Michael Yao - A 30-something business controller in Shanghai, originally from Nanjing, China. Has lived with his wife and son in Sweden for several years. Has served as the chairman of the Swedish Go Association. Plays as 5d in Swedish tournaments. Michael Yao during the 2006 China trip, on the left teaching his son to play go, and on the right teaching, with Chang Hao 9p Carl Johan Ragnarsson - A 25 year old ex-student, originally from Lund, Sweden. Now traveling around in China before going back to Sweden to look for a job. Has lived in China, studying Chinese and economics, for the last 2 years. Played as 3d in Europe before going to China. Carl Johan Ragnarsson, pictures from Guilin in southern China, from a go tournament during fall 2005, and sightseeing in the local area Both organizers have participated in go tournaments in several countries, and been active in the local go player communities. We speak fluent Swedish, English and Chinese. The organizers will participate in all preparation work for the trip, and work closely with the other teachers and hired organizers to make sure arrangements go smoothly. During the trip, we will participate during the early weeks, and in some of the teaching. Will Zhang - teacher - Graduated from Peking University, one of the top universities in Beijing, a 6d amateur in China (willzhang 9d on kgs).
