2005 Unlur world championship

Played on the 8 sized board at www.ludoteka.com, the Candidate's Tournament started in April and finished by the end of May. Time limit was 30 minutes per player plus 10 second per move and each player had to play 3 games against each opponent. Candidates were selected by invitation according to their results in other tournaments.
4 people accepted the invitation, Carl Johan Ragnarson, Paul Van Wamelen, Bernhard Herwig and the title defender Taral Seierstad. This time, all the participants were mathematicians. And among the games we could see extremely ballanced contracts and really tricky arrows.
Paul and Bernhard deserved a better score but they weren't able to beat Taral or Carl Johan, so the two finalists for the 2005 World Championship are Taral Seierstad ,the current champion, and Carl Johan Ragnarson.

The finals haven't been scheduled yet.

2003-2004 e-mail tournament
